Karen’s career in local government town planning started in the 1970’s with the Greater London Council. Karen has held various planning positions in a number of local authorities in London and West Sussex.

Karen currently works for Chichester District Council where she heads up a small team responsible for S106 monitoring and implementation, and all aspects of the Community Infrastructure Levy – from inception to adoption, administration, governance and spending.

Karen produces an annual five year rolling Infrastructure Business Plan, which shows how all the strategic infrastructure to support the Local Plan will be delivered. This contains a method for prioritising and selecting projects for CIL expenditure.
