Kate is a full member of IEMA with over 20 years experience in EIA and sustainability and a proven track record in driving enhancement and innovation. In her current role as a Senior Consents and Environmental Project Manager within National Grid’s Strategic Infrastructure team, she focuses on applying environmental enhancements at both a strategic and project level, keeping abreast of evolving policy and developing best practice approaches.  She is currently the Consents Lead for the Grain to Tilbury cable tunnel project which utilises the largest shaft boring technology in the world. In this role, she is particularly committed to identifying and securing environmental opportunities when transitioning into construction phase. Her ultimate aim is always to minimise impacts and create a lasting legacy that sets a benchmark for future projects.
