Graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a Masters in Environmental Management, Sophie initially worked for a multisector consultancy specialising in EIA and general environmental management for projects following both the Town and Country Planning and DCO consenting regimes. In 2020 Sophie made a move from consultancy to client side taking the role of DCO Consents Manager for Major Infrastructure with Anglian Water. In her role as DCO Consents Manager she provides strategic advice and leadership to multi discipline project teams working on nationally significant infrastructure projects being promoted by Anglian Water, this includes working closely with design and environment teams to foster a collaborative and balanced approach to design and environmental outcomes. As a Chartered Environmentalist Sophie is keen to ensure improvement of the natural environment is always at the forefront of decision making processes.
