Reza, as the Head of Assurance, leads the System Authority Independent Assurance Team (SAIAT) and holds the responsibility for planning and executing assurance activities on behalf of the System Authority and the broader industry.

With his extensive knowledge of ETCS L2 operation, Reza previously provided engineering management support to Arriva Train Wales for five years, overseeing all operational aspects of the ETCS fitted equipment on 24 class 158s rail vehicles.

In his earlier position, Reza was a part of the System Requirement and Integration Team. He played a crucial role in developing the GB Generic Requirement Suite of documents, which encompassed the definition of requirements, safety elements, guidance, and common operating rules necessary for implementing ETCS Onboard and Trackside on the GB network.
