Thomas McCormack is a Senior System Planning and Investment Manager at SSEN Transmission with over 10 years’ experience in power systems analysis, onshore & offshore connections and strategic network planning. He has jointly led the investment cases for significant transmission projects in the North of Scotland including the £635m East Coast Upgrade and £2.1bn Eastern HVDC link from Peterhead to Drax. His team are responsible for the capacity assessment and network investment plans for connections in the east region of the SSEN Transmission licenced area. This involves working closely with; Electricity System Operator, Transmission and Distribution networks and developers to deliver coordinated, efficient and economic transmission investment.
