Charles Deacon is Head of Grid Connections at Eclipse Power Networks, one of the UK’s leading IDNOs and aspiring future ITO. We bring together a team of friendly experts experienced in the electricity industry to simplify electricity connections across the renewable, data centre, EV, industrial, commercial and residential sectors. Charles has responsibility for facilitating the upstream network interface for Eclipse’s large power customers, primarily focussed on renewable generation, energy storage and large demand at both distribution and transmission. Charles is also responsible for providing grid consultation services to Eclipse’s clients.

Having recently joined Eclipse, Charles previously worked for various solar, storage and gas peaking developers; securing, de-risking and providing regulatory advice on grid connections for over 1 GW of projects, working with all DNOs and National Grid. Prior to that Charles worked in engineering consultancy.
