Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, Planning Officers Society Specialist Lead on Natural Resources. East Suffolk Council is the largest district authority in the country with a population of 250000 along the east Suffolk coast stretching from Lowestoft to Felixstowe. As the Council’s Chief Planning Officer he has significant experience on all planning matters across the District and promoting the delivery of planned development though evidenced and up to date Local Plans. Significant experience at a national level in helping develop best practice including in Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects especially in the energy sector. Currently Involved in 10 energy sector NSIPs, as the Council’s Lead Officer, including working on the potential development of Sizewell C since 2007.
