Lead Specialist – Infrastructure

As lead specialist for infrastructure Sarah Lewis is responsible for reviewing and developing a co-ordinated approach to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects across the Historic England Regions Group. Sarah has oversight of NSIP projects across the regions and supports colleagues involved in NSIP casework, sharing good practice and lessons learnt.

Prior to joining Historic England in 2020, Sarah was a Principal Planner for Arup involved in rail, road and energy infrastructure projects. She spent a number of years working as a land access stakeholder engagement manager for HS2 Phase 2b, participating in community engagement at HS2 consultation events.

Sarah has over 12 years’ experience as a qualified MRTPI Planner working in the public and private sector.
