Assistant Director – Planning and Strategic Infrastructure
South & East Lincolnshire Council’s Partnership

Mike is the Assistant Director for Planning and Strategic Infrastructure for the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. The Partnership (S&ELCP) is a ground-breaking partnership between Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council. The Partnership was officially launched on Friday 1 October 2021 aimed at delivering ambitious growth and regeneration plans to 300,000 of its residents.

Mike's responsibilities include the functions of 3 district Planning Departments including: Strategic Planning Policy, Local Plan/s, Planning & Development Management, Planning Enforcement, Internal Drainage Boards, Coastal Defences, Flood Management, Historic Environment and Conservation/Heritage.

His NSIP experiences include the pre-submission phases and examination of the BAEF (Boston Alternative Energy Facility) project and the Triton Knoll delivery phase of the landward development.  The Partnership area is also subject to at least 10 NSIP projects currently being developed or subject to consultation - predominantly in the energy sector.
