Jenny has been Deputy Director for Planning – Infrastructure since 2018, and Project Director for the cross-Government Nationally Significant Infrastructure Planning Reform programme since 2020. In this role she works closely with colleagues across Energy Security and Net Zero, as well as those in Government interested in water and transport infrastructure, to ensure that we have a resilient and fair consenting system, which can support the country’s infrastructure needs, promote levelling up for communities and improved environmental outcomes. She also leads on measures in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill relating to the new Infrastructure Levy and Environmental Outcomes Reports. She is a career civil servant, and was awarded the OBE for her work on children’s services reform in the 2015 New Years Honours.
