Sam is an Account Manager at Eversholt Rail, a leading UK rolling stock owner with a portfolio of over 2,900 passenger and freight vehicles in service. Since joining in 2020, Sam has managed Eversholt Rail’s freight portfolio of Class 66 locomotives, working with existing customers Freightliner and GB Railfreight. With the need to decarbonise diesel traction, Sam has been working with colleagues at Eversholt Rail to develop potential solutions for the Class 66s that reduce emissions whilst meeting the operational needs of operators. Sam was instrumental in bringing the Class 321 Swift Express Freight product to market, which saw passenger trains converted for high-speed freight services. Sam also manages Eversholt Rail’s relationship with GTR and Cross London Trains, the operators and owners (respectively) of the large fleet of Class 700 passenger trains.
