Jozef Ochwat

Commercial Manager
Port of Felixstowe

Jozef Ochwat is the Commercial Manager (Rail) at the Port of Felixstowe, the UK’s largest and busiest intermodal rail terminal. In this role, he leads the commercial development of rail freight services, working closely with Freight Operating Companies (FOCs), shipping lines, logistics providers, and Network Rail to enhance the port’s rail connectivity and support the wider industry’s modal shift ambitions. His work is central to Felixstowe’s strategy to reduce carbon emissions across the supply chain and promote sustainable freight solutions.

Jozef’s career spans just under a decade in the ports and logistics sector, with a strong foundation in both operational and commercial disciplines. He began his journey as a graduate trainee with Associated British Ports (ABP), where he gained hands-on experience in port infrastructure, customer service, and business development. This early exposure to the complexities of maritime and landside logistics laid the groundwork for his pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to commercial strategy.
