Throughout his career David has specialised in bulk freight and for the last 18 years has worked in construction supply chains. David joined the Cappagh Group of Companies in 2019 to deliver its rail freight strategy. 

The Cappagh Group provides civil engineering and materials services to a wide range of clients in the utilities, transport and infrastructure sectors.  Rail freight operating company DCRail is part of the Group and this puts Cappagh in a strong position to integrate rail freight into complex construction projects. 

Over the last three years DCRail has become a fully-fledged freight operating company with leading rail freight users as clients. New rolling stock has been delivered and three urban railheads developed. The achievements have been recognised by DCRail winning four industry awards over the last three years for its innovative rail freight solutions.
