Simon has worked for Chiltern Railways since 2004 in a range of Engineering roles ranging from depot management, project management and technical leadership. His current role involves the management of assurance activities across Chiltern Railways fleets and depots and technical innovation projects. A key project for him at present is leading Chiltern Railways Hybrid train trials working with major ROSCOs and technology suppliers. Hybrid trains are expected to form a key part of Chiltern Railways future de-carbonisation plans. Chiltern Railways is the last diesel-only operation into central London and has increasing stakeholder and passenger expectations to decarbonise.

Simon has worked previously in ROSCOs and for London Underground. He is a Chartered Engineer.
