Nikki Bains

Head of Planning, Transport and Strategy
Birmingham International Airport

Nikki Bains, BA, MA, MRTPI is currently Head of Planning, Transport and Strategy at Birmingham Airport and has spent the last three years helping to deliver the aims, objectives and policies contained within the Airport Master Plan and Surface Access Strategy. Nikki’s day to day work involves working closely with HS2 to help deliver the scheme and associated works and enable Birmingham Airport to become the first UK airport to be connected to High Speed Rail. Nikki is also part of the Airport Aerodrome Safeguarding Group and works with developers and stakeholders in relation to tall buildings and other major development near the Airport. 

Prior to working at Birmingham Airport, Nikki worked for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and represented various blue-chIp clients as a planning consultant.
