Louise Staples is the Senior Rural Surveyor at the NFU and based at the head office in Stoneleigh. She leads on compulsory purchase and landlord and tenant issues for the NFU across England and Wales. She covers the major infrastructure schemes and the issues faced by members when land and rights are to be compulsory purchased. She has been involved with HS2 since 2011 and gave evidence on behalf of members when petitioning the Select Committees in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords for Phase 1 of HS2. She has also represented NFU members affected by the A14 Scheme, Triton Knoll and the Richborough Connection Project throughout the DCO examination process.

She is now involved in numerous other nationally significant infrastructure projects.
