Orla is a land referencing specialist with 8 year experience at WSP managing teams to identify landowner rights, scope route options and secure land acquisition for large-scale linear and energy infrastructure projects in the UK. This includes National Grid’s; London Power Tunnels 2, North West Coast Connection project, Dinorwig Pentir Cable Replacement project, Scotland England Green Link 1, Viking Link Interconnector, Bramford to Twinstead Reinforcement Project and Ørsted’s Hornsea Offshore Windfarm Three.

Orla has a delivery role on projects with a range of consenting methods from a hybrid Bill, Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) and Development Consent Orders (DCOs). She has a strong understanding of the legislation, from her educational background BSc Environmental Planning.

Since taking an interest in energy and utilities she has furthered her skills by undertaking a wayleave training at the Royal Agriculture University and has begun her first steps towards obtaining her chartership status with Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Orla also holds professional memberships with the Compulsory Purchase Association and National Infrastructure Planning Association.
