Matthew specialises in the property aspects of Future Energy transactions and has acted for developers and funders on several hundred wind, solar, biomass, hydro and other renewable energy projects. He provides strategic advice on structuring transactions, due diligence, funding issues and the drafting and negotiation of bespoke documentation. He has particular expertise in advising on the real estate elements of pathfinder data centre projects and has been a leading figure in developing multi-technology projects combining energy storage, solar and solar plus storage within the UK, and he also acted on the world’s first electric forecourt in Braintree, Essex.
