Joanna Wright MA MSc FIEMA CEnv is a Director within LUC’s Environmental Planning team (https://landuse.co.uk/), and an EIA specialist, with an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment. She has over 30 years’ experience with LUC, which has included involvement in a wide variety of EIA projects, EIA research projects at the national and European level, independent EIA reviews and the preparation of EIA guidance. Joanna also gained an MSc in Carbon Management in 2018 so has been putting this to good use in LUC’s EIA climate change chapters. In addition to her involvement in updating both IEMA’s guidance on assessing GHG emissions in EIA and EIA guide on climate change and resilience, she authored the climate change chapter for the 3rd edition of the EIA Handbook: A practical guide for planners, developers and communities (2019), led a review of the coverage of greenhouse gas emissions in SEA and EIA on behalf of ClimateXChange (2020) and travelled to Jordan last year on behalf of the Dutch EIA Commission to provide a series of training workshops on integrating climate change into EIA.
