Amy is a Principal Environmental Law Officer at the Office for Environmental Protection (OEP). Amy’s role has a strong focus on the OEP's scrutiny and advice functions. Amy has worked on advice on Biodiversity Net Gain, and a recently published report on the implementation of environmental assessment regimes. At the OEP, Amy has also worked on Marine Net Gain, the Environmental Principles Policy Statement and examining the impacts from proposed changes to environmental law. Amy holds a PhD in law from the Australian National University and examined the emergence and policy design of biodiversity offset policies in Australia. Amy has also tutored at the Australian National University and worked at The Australia Institute. She has published research on international climate change mitigation programmes, climate change migration, environmental litigation and biodiversity offsets.
