Nick Giesler is Head of Profession within WSP’s Environment and Consents team. Over 30-years he has developed expertise in several aspects of environmental management, but now specialises in the environmental planning of major infrastructure.  Nick considers that effective communication of environmental information is as important as the science that underlies it. He has long been an advocate for and exponent of proportionate assessment. Over almost five years as the head of environment on Crossrail 2, Nick led a team that pioneered several innovations in sustainability, environmental design, digital EIA and integrated option development. He is now leading WSP’s Future Ready EIA initiative.
