Vicky Schlottmann leads the Environmental Assessment Team in Natural Resources Wales (NRW). Vicky has 25years experience working in environmental assessment, initially in the Environment Agency (NEAS) and now in NRW. Working with a small but very experienced team, as well as specialists across the organisation and within Welsh Government, we have developed NRW approaches to SEA and EIA that embed the requirements of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016 and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (2015). Vicky specialises in SEA and project/plan assurance and has greatly enjoyed seeing the change in practice over the years that has put the environment and sustainability at the heart of plan and project delivery, whilst acknowledging there will always be ways we can improve.
