Steve is Technical Director for Rail at WSP with a strategic responsibility for Knowledge and Information development. With over 40 years of systems experience he has worked for the last 30 specifically in the rail industry and has a proven record of delivering projects in the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East, for mainline, metro and light rail. He specialises in digital technologies and transmission based train control, in particular ETCS and CBTC, and in Major multi-discipline Programmes requiring cross-functional working. He led a Think Tank producing an influential cross industry paper “Making a success of the Digital Railway” has spoken at major railway conferences and had articles published in rail industry publications
