Chris Hardy leads a team of Systems Engineers at Siemens Mobility, responsible for the integration of ETCS onboard, trackside and key management systems for the East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP).  To accomplish this the team created a set of specifications for ECDP and a multi-supplier integration facility called the 'System of Systems' lab. He has worked with all 4 ECDP ETCS On Board suppliers, the National Online Key Management project, data and Network Rail Telecoms to scope and deliver the integrated system into the laboratory.  This integration facility derisks the technology interfaces offsite before delivery onto the East Coast Mainline, and onsite proving.

Previously Chris worked on Thameslink and various CBTC mass transit projects. He was the Siemens test lead for wider joint industry projects and trials including Level 3, Level 3 hybrid, ETCS over ATO and C-DAS, using the ETCS National Integration Facility (ENIF) in Hitchin.  Chris has worked in the rail industry for 17 years as a systems engineer, prior to which he worked in the telecoms industry in cross discipline technology delivery.
