Robin is a Chartered Engineer with over 40 years experience in the Railway Industry.

He recently retired from the UK Department for Transport (DfT) where he was the Deputy Director responsible for integration of HS2 into the UK rail network. Prior to that role he led on areas including franchise specification, rail finance and rolling stock.

Robin was the UK representative on the European Railway Agency Management Board, was a member of the Intergovernmental Commission for the Channel Tunnel, sat as an observer on the RSSB Board and was a member of the British Railways Board.

Previously, he worked at Thameslink Train Operating Company, Eversholt Rail train leasing company and trained with British Rail in depots and works around the UK.
