John has over 23 years of property experience and advises acquiring authority clients, developers, property owners and occupiers affected by compulsory purchase on both regeneration and infrastructure schemes. He is an elected national board member and the current Chair of the Compulsory Purchase Association. Before joining Ardent in 2022 He spent 15 years in the Compulsory Purchase team at CBRE, prior to which he spent 5 years in an Estate Management role advising Local Authority clients on their assets.
 
John is a member of the Royal Institution Chartered Surveyors, the RICS President’s Panel of compulsory purchase specialists as an Evaluative Mediator and Independent Determiner, the Compulsory Purchase Association, and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
