James Heath

James Heath is the Chief Executive of the National Infrastructure Commission. The NIC provides government with impartial, expert advice on major economic infrastructure challenges.

Previously, James was Digital of Infrastructure Director at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), responsible for advising Ministers on broadband, mobile and telecoms security policy and overseeing the UK’s £200m million 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme.

Prior to joining the UK Government, James was Director of Policy at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), responsible for public policy, government relations and regulatory affairs at UK and EU level.
