Kathleen joined the Countryside Agency in 2001, working on Rural Transport Partnership grants and then moving into sustainable development planning work. After Natural England formed and the Planning Act 2008 came into force, Kathleen took on the senior responsible officer role for a number of transport NSIPS and in 2015, Kathleen took on the Senior Project Manager role for Natural England’s input to HS2. In 2019, Kathleen became the Principal Officer for our HS2 work, and in 2021 moved into our Complex Casework team where she had oversight of cases across the breadth of NE’s remit. In May 2024, Kathleen was delighted to get a new role as NSIPS Manager, overseeing our cost recovery, delivery and resourcing on NSIPS.
