Nick Grant is a planning and environment barrister at Landmark Chambers. He has appeared at all levels: in public inquiries and DCO examinations, the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, High Court, Court of Appeal, and twice in the Supreme Court (in the Finch EIA case and CG Fry Habitats case). He was part of the team which successfully promoted the Sunnica Solar Farm DCO, represented Natural England in the Lower Thames Crossing DCO, and South Downs National Park Authority in the M3 Junction 9 DCO. He also represented the Secretary of State when a pre-action protocol letter was issued against the Portishead Branch Line DCO. Nick assisted Lord Banner KC in his review of Judicial Review challenges to NSIPs. Nick is regularly ranked in all the leading legal directories as a leading junior for planning work.
