Amanda is an independent planning consultant with over 30-years’ experience in infrastructure and development planning. She is also a member of NIPA Council. Amanda is experienced in delivering transformational change and major issue resolution across the consenting process from early consultation/political lobbying to environmental assessment, consent and delivery on site.   She has led teams in a wide range of roles for major planning applications, Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAOs), Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Parliamentary Bills. This has included as a strategic adviser to Government assessing consenting routes for major projects and providing advice on a range of issues including community, socioeconomic and health impact assessment. She has played key roles in delivery of many high-profile public infrastructure projects in the UK. This includes Silvertown Tunnel, High Speed 1 & 2, Crossrail 1, East/West Rail, Lower Thames Crossing, Bank Station Upgrade, Northern Line Extension, Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf Footbridge, Cambourne to Cambridge Guided Busway and Cambridge South Station. Recently she has worked with National Highways on the M5 Junction 10, A417 and A358 DCOs, The Highland Council on Wind Farm development in Scotland under Section 36 and with Transport for London on the extension to the Docklands Light Railway.
