Hugh Gilmour is the Head of Land Telis Energy UK, a green energy development platform backed by the Carlyle Group originating and developing large scale renewable energy projects. Since 2009 he has specialised in the origination, consent and construction of large-scale energy projects across the UK through the development consent order (DCO) process. A chartered surveyor by background, Hugh has led on the land and property aspects of a number of high profile and compex energy infrastructure projects including the new nuclear power stations at Hinkley Point and Sizewell for EDF Energy, and the Tidal Lagoon in Swansea. He also spent some time in consultancy advising on land strategy and implementation of a number of large offshore windfarms across the UK. He is currently part of the senior leadership team at Telis Energy UK focused on securing the necessary land rights, and supporting the consenting of NISP scale solar, battery and onshore wind sites across England.
