Alex is a Partner at ERM and has over 15 years’ experience in offshore wind project development and has led the consenting of some of the UK’s largest offshore wind farms. As an experienced Project Director and Chartered Environmentalist, Alex has a thorough understanding of the environmental and consenting legislation in the UK, Ireland and internationally.  Alex has significant experience in leading offshore wind farms, and their associated offshore and onshore cable infrastructure, through site selection, risk identification, lease applications, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), DCO/S36 and marine licence applications and post consent discharge of requirements. Alex has led extensive stakeholder engagement strategies and has a thorough understanding of the key concerns raised by statutory and non statutory stakeholders. Alex brings experience and understanding of both offshore and onshore infrastructure EIA/consenting giving him a holistic oversight of all elements of offshore wind projects.
