David is an Associate Planner at Arup and leads the Planning Team in Cardiff. He has experience across a broad range of sectors with a focus on the consenting, assessment and implementation of energy and infrastructure projects across Wales and England. This includes transmission scale projects with clients such as National Grid, energy generation schemes including onshore wind, solar, energy storage and geothermal, and more recently electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including support to GRIDSERVE in relation to the UK’s first Electric Forecourt® at Braintree. David also recently completed a strategic commission on behalf of NRW which explored the case for change in grid infrastructure in Mid Wales in order to support decarbonisation objectives across the energy generation, housing and electric vehicle sectors. 

David is a member of the RTPI Cymru Policy and Research Forum and also sites on the Renewable UK Cymru Strategy Group.
