Ellie began her career in the energy industry working in the commercial team of a renewable energy supplier. As a senior forecasting analyst, she was responsible for the accurate forecasting of both demand and generation positions, and also worked closely with stakeholders such as Bristol City Council to develop and deliver a number of decarbonisation projects.

Subsequently Ellie was part of the Modelling team at Energy Systems Catapult, where she developed detailed local energy plans to assist local councils in their decarbonisation efforts. These plans are a vital tool on the road to decarbonisation, allowing decision-makers to understand how to hit low-carbon targets in the most cost-efficient way possible.

Having recently joined Regen, a not-for-profit centre of energy expertise and market insight, in September 2021 as a Net Zero Project Manager, Ellie is currently leading on a variety of projects to accelerate the transition to a decarbonised and decentralised energy system.
