Rebecca Williams is the Director for Wales at The Crown Estate. Appointed in August 2022, Rebecca leads Welsh stakeholder engagement and has been instrumental in aligning The Crown Estate’s assets with the priorities of the Welsh government and strategic stakeholders, focusing on financial, environmental, and social value.

Before joining The Crown Estate, Rebecca served as the Director of Conservation at National Trust Cymru, where she played a pivotal role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her extensive career also includes significant contributions to agricultural policy and legislation at both Welsh and UK government levels. Notably, she was part of the team that established Natural Resources Wales and has served as Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Wales.

Raised on a dairy farm in Pembrokeshire, Rebecca holds a degree in Law from Cardiff University. Her deep connection to Wales and her diverse professional background make her a passionate advocate for sustainable development and renewable energy initiatives in the region.

Rebecca’s leadership is characterized by her commitment to addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including climate change and the nature crisis. She is dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to value creation, ensuring that The Crown Estate’s activities benefit local communities, economies, and the environment.
