Andrew Clarke joined Associated British Ports (ABP), the UK’s largest port operator as Group Head of Masterplanning in April 2018. He has over 25 years of experience in masterplanning and economic development consultancy. As a champion of businesses’ power to shape society, Andrew talks about the benefits ports can bring to local communities – as well as how they can make a critical contribution to delivering UK net zero. His interests also include futures and scenario development, masterplanning, partnership building and industrial decarbonisation. In 2023, Andrew’s team at ABP won ‘In-House Planning Team of the Year’ at the Royal Town Planning Institute Awards.
