Ben Lewis-Hayes is Strategic Planning & Consents Director at Bute Energy. A chartered planner, he has over 25 years’ experience in planning and consenting, and manages and implements the consenting strategy across the Bute Energy portfolio. Ben has extensive experience advising on the consenting of nationally significant infrastructure projects, and has worked on energy projects in the DNS, DCO and T&CPA regimes across Wales and England including wind, solar, nuclear, pumped hydro, gas and battery projects.

Ben has also been Chair of the Renewable UK Cymru Strategy Group since 2021. The group is made up of representatives from renewable energy organisations who are either based in Wales or have interests in Wales.
