Anna Morris

Associate Director
Atkins

Anna is an Associate Director in Atkins’ Planning and Environmental Consenting team and a chartered member of the RTPI. She has experience in the full spectrum of planning tasks of private consultancy, with particular skills in environmental planning, systematic impact assessment (EIA, SA/SEA, IIA, cumulative effects, to name a few) and strategy development and implementation. Anna is an advocate for driving higher sustainability ambitions at all stages of project development. She adopts a broad definition of the term, which aligns with the multi-faceted approach of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. Stakeholder engagement and consultation are key components of Anna’s work and having been seconded to both Horizon Nuclear Power and DfT for High Speed Two, she appreciates the importance of a difficult conversation – her focus is on seeking to get the best outcomes and she views discussion and challenge as effective ways of ensuring genuine options are identified and suitably evaluated. She is currently working with Pembrokeshire County Council on the Newgale Coastal Adaptation Project, and is leading Population and Human Health and cumulative effects assessment work for a number of highways DCOs.
