Addleshaw Goddard

Martin is a projects lawyer with over 20 years of experience of working in the transport sector, where he has advised both public and private sector clients.  He has advised on numerous transport projects featuring rail, tramways and bus. This has included the development of transport hubs and interchanges such as Wolverhampton Interchange which linked all of the main transport modes together with walking routes. He has provided regulatory advice in connection with development around railway stations and developments over railway lines as well as advising on aspects of the development of rail-linked freight depots such as DIRFT.

Through his work, Martin has gained a good appreciation of the various issues affecting the management of infrastructure in the transport sector and how they can restrict developments. This has allowed him to assist clients in managing regulatory requirements alongside their commercial drivers. Martin regularly writes articles on transport matters and chairs the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport's Strategic Rail Policy Group.
