Ruth is a seasoned rail industry leader with three decades’ experience spanning project delivery, strategic development, and stakeholder engagement across the UK transport sector.

Ruth joined Siemens in 2012 as Project Director, leading the successful delivery of two major depots for the landmark Thameslink Programme. Prior to joining Siemens, she worked for a number of transport organisations including Transport for London, Stagecoach, Network Rail and Balfour Beatty, gaining comprehensive project lifecycle expertise.

Since 2017, Ruth has served as Head of Business Development and Strategy for Siemens Mobility Limited where she jointly led the acquisition of the company’s new rolling stock manufacturing site in Goole, Yorkshire, which opened in March 2024.

Ruth unifies Siemens Mobility's strategic vision, leveraging her industry knowledge to deliver impactful submissions to Government and other key stakeholders. Her policy influence is evidenced by Siemens giving evidence before parliamentary committees, including the Transport Select Committee’s pipeline review and the Railways Bill Committee.
