Chris Wood is a Technical Director in WSP’s Rail Advisory group, leading the Strategy and Feasibility team and also the Rail Net Zero lead for WSP. Chris’s experience covers light and heavy passenger and freight railways across the UK and Middle East. He specialises in applying systems thinking across projects to ensure they are customer driven, operationally focussed and grounded in engineering.  Some of his proudest achievements include leading the development of ‘efficient electrification’ in Scotland, developing the operational plans for a new heavy haul freight railway in Saudi Arabia and playing a leading role in Very Light Rail projects across the UK.
