Steve works with transport infrastructure clients to design inclusive and accessible stations and rolling stock. Steve has worked with existing facilities and new build rail projects across Europe. During last year’s ticket office consultation, Direct Access produced much of the accessible formats from Braille to sign language to inform disabled people about the proposals.

Profoundly deaf since birth, Steve sits on the IAAP Global Leadership Council which trains and certifies Access Consultants globally. Steve is also a PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow’s Centre for Disability Research on the accessibility of city centres post-pandemic.
