Tracey Barber is Group HR Manager of XRail Group, heading up the company’s talent expansion not only across the UK but Spain and Saudi Arabia.

She is an experienced HR person within rail, having worked for Alstom, Freightliner and SB Rail. Tracey is also one of the most high-profile women in rail on social media.

Her passions include equality, diversity, mental health, and safety. She is Events and Engagement lead for Rail Safety Week, which seeks to promote safety on the rail network, and which has the buy-in of companies and organisations including Network Rail, British Transport Police, Scotland’s Railways, Office of Rail and Road, RSSB, Avanti West Coast and many more.

Tracey also launched Rail Human Library, which seeks to explain the benefits of a career in rail to schoolchildren. For this, she has been able to bring together people from a diverse range of backgrounds from companies including infrastructure companies, train builders, rolling stock leasing companies, engineering firms and railway media.

Mum of 2 young women, Tracey is a keen advocate of equality, diversity and inclusivity across industry and the wider network.
