Neil is a Technical Director and Solar Sector Lead at AECOM. He is an environmental impact assessment coordinator by background, with 23 years’ experience delivering energy projects. Neil has worked on over 30 solar farms totalling over 7 Gigawatts, including recently coordinating the environmental and planning services on the consented Longfield Solar Farm Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP), Sunnica Energy Farm which is a solar NSIP due to be determined in December 2023, Gate Burton Energy Park which is a solar NSIP currently in examination stage, East Yorkshire Solar Farm NSIP which has been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate, and several other major solar farm NSIPs currently at pre-submission stage (Fenwick Solar Farm, Fosse Green Energy, and Tillbridge Solar). Neil has also worked on international solar farms in the Caribbean, Europe, and Middle East, including the first major solar utility projects in the Caribbean and a solar farm in Kazakhstan.
