Jonathan is Head of Policy (Freight and Stations) at Rail Delivery Group where he leads the RDG Station Strategy Group (SSG) and RDG Freight Board. He has nearly 30 years’ experience in the UK rail industry having previously worked for a train operator and for Network Rail. During his career he has been a front-line Station Manager in North London and then in Cambridge, led the sales and marketing team for Stansted Express, negotiated several track access contracts and developed the Industry Strategic Business Plan. He speaks regularly at national and international conferences. Jonathan is passionate about placing customers and communities at the heart of stations and enabling greater modal shift from road to rail, harnessing the cleaner and greener credentials of rail freight.
