Sharon has worked for Transport Focus since 2006. She currently leads work on the rail contracts programme.

Activities are based on evidence of passenger experience and future aspirations. This draws on Transport Focus research, as well as bespoke studies exploring individual operations. The key aim is to press for a range of passenger benefits to be incorporated in contracts - and effectively delivered.

Sharon works with policy and procurement teams to highlight key passenger issues, making recommendations about how they can be addressed. She also provides advice on passenger satisfaction metrics. Sharon and colleagues hold detailed discussions with bidders, as well as exchanging information with other stakeholders and passengers.
