Richard specialises in major Planning, Compulsory Purchase, Highways and Environment Law projects. He is Tier 1 rated in both Planning and Environmental law in Chambers and Legal 500 Directories. He has wide experience of major rail station-led regeneration and development, including growth area developments around Stratford International Station (Olympic/QE Park and Stratford City), HS2 stations at Birmingham Interchange, Old Oak Common and Euston, and at Ebbsfleet Central & Garden City around the HS1 station, as well as a host of UK Garden Community and City Centre rail-related regeneration and redevelopment projects. He is currently advising on Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) Growth options and he has also recently completed the Dubai Metro Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Manual project internationally. Richard specialises in public/private partnerships, growth companies, development corporations, enterprise zones and local retention of business rates schemes. He specialises in complex projects and leads multi-disciplinary project teams in the UK and internationally.
