James joined the railway/ construction industry in 2016 when he joined one of Network Rail’s graduate schemes. Since then, James has specialised in sponsorship of railway and other transport infrastructure projects, including major enabling works for the HS2 line coming into Birmingham, the redevelopment of University and Perry Barr Stations, Euston Station and the Birmingham City Centre Metro Extensions.

In his current role, James leads the sponsorship team within the West Midlands Rail Executive/ West Midlands Combined Authority, focusing on the five new stations across the West Midlands, as well as other projects in development such as Aldridge Station.
