With over 30 years’ experience in the power industry, Russell has worked with some of the leading international energy brands including Centrica, Veolia, GDF and EDF, where he earned a reputation for the successful creation and delivery of innovative solutions to the needs of large energy users.

Working internationally for much of his career, he was the architect of a groundbreaking answer to powering remote areas of India with renewable energy, leading to the construction of several award-winning bio-mass fuelled power plants.

He is passionate about the continued deployment of renewable technologies in the energy mix needed to deliver a sustainable, resilient and cost effective answer to the UK’s future power demand.

Now with the Markets team at UK Power Networks Services, Russell leads the development of their presence in the ports arena.
