Andy has over 40 years’ experience in power plant development construction and operation. After building nuclear submarines, Andy joined the Merchant Navy as a marine engineer. Then in the CEGB and successor companies he gained experience in nuclear, coal, oil, hydro, and wind generation. Running RWE’s wind fleet including North Hoyle, the first commercial offshore wind farm, before becoming director of their UK Hydropower business. Building over 20 embedded hydropower schemes predominantly in Scotland. Andy is currently CEO of Menter Mon Morlais Tidal Energy limited, and a board member of Menter Mon with responsibility for Energy. He is also a board member of  the British Hydropower Association, NWTE, and Grwp Llandrillo Menai and recently worked with SPEN on their customer engagement group for the RIIO ED2 business plan.
